Last Weekend...

Last weekend was a busy one.  I didn't work on Friday so we worked on some things around the house.  We had been planning on adding a fire pit to our back yard, mostly to fill the perfectly round spot of dead grass where Ben's inflatable pool lived last summer.  So Friday afternoon we went shopping for supplies and got the main part of the pit assembled.  We finished it on Saturday afternoon by adding the edging and river rock.  I think it turned out really great and suprisingly cost us just a few dollars over $200.

Then on Saturday, after I worked my normal 9-12 morning, we had our friends, and my co-workers, Pam and Meagan... and most importantly Pam's husband Andy over.  Andy was nice enough to come over and help Brad move our office from upstairs to the open room downstairs.  It consisted of taking down a countertop, moving four cabinets and then reattaching all of it.  Definitely appreciated the help. 

To say thanks we cooked out for all of them and then tested out our new firepit by roasting a few marshmellows.  It worked great...

Finally on Sunday... rest. 

Oh yeah, did I mention that he were moving the office to make room for another bedroom upstairs?  We will need it when the baby comes in October:)  Yeah, for those who hadn't heard, we are expecting child number two in October.  We are very excited and all is well so far.

Watching Daddy...

I heard Ben having a conversation with our dog, Augie while watching Brad mow the yard through the window. 

"That's Daddy, dog.  Mow yard."

He watched Brad mow for a good 15 minutes.

Easter

Ben wasn't sure about the Easter Bunny this year.  He had a visit from the big bunny at school earlier in the week and he was a little creeped out  scared.  So when we talked about the big bunny coming to leave him a treat he wasn't too thrilled.  All was forgotten when we got his new coloring books and crayons the next morning.

We went home to see Brad's family and have lunch and hunt eggs.  He had a great time with his cousins.  And a really great time on their slide. 

Good heavens, it's been a month... again!  I really do have things to say, I will do a better post (or three) tonight!

Home again, Home again....

We got back home from our Florida adventure yesterday afternoon.  Had a great, relaxing time just hanging out with our family there.  It was still really great to get home and sleep in our own beds last night.  Back to work today with a booked schedule.  A girl leaves for three appointment days and is booked for a week when she gets back.  I guess that is a good problem to have. 

Ben flew like a champ on the way home yesterday.  I think we may have a future pilot there.  He loves flying!

Not much happening this week.  Brad's mom is in town today/tonight to spend some time with Ben while on her spring break.  Nothing else too exciting, although I should have some exciting news I can share soon!
