The Wiggles... and other fun stuff.

I don't seem to have many pictures to post recently.  I am slacking in that area I guess.  I have been very engaged creatively lately but have been focused more on holiday projects and this great online class that I am taking on Jessica Sprague's website.  So, not a lot of picture taking happening at the moment.

Ben went with my mom and dad to see "The Wiggles" on tour.  I have to admit that I was very skeptical abour his ability to be entertained for more than 30 minutes.  Boy was I wrong.  He LOVED it!  Mom and dad said that he sat there completely mesmirized by the entire thing for a full hour and a half.  They say that they aren't sure that he even moved the whole time!  The show was in Cinci so he then stayed at dad's house for the night, but was so wired from the show that they couldn't get him to sleep until 10:30, which is way past his normal bedtime.

So, while Ben was "Wiggle-ing" the night away, Brad and I got some much needed relaxation time.  We went to dinner, caught up on DVR watching and just spent time together.  He was off the next day and my schedule was wonderfully light so we also got to spend all morning together.  He had a chiropracter appointment, we went to breakfast and then he napped and I worked on the computer and that class I am taking.  I was so relaxed, and so ready to get ahold of my Ben, by the time he got home.  It was a real recharge that I was really needing.

Went to the dermatologist on Tuesday afternoon too.  She thought all looked well in my pitifully pale, redheaded world.  She removed one mole, just cause I thought it looked weird, and sent it for biopsy but wasn't very concerned about it.  So that's good.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that the biopsy doesn't find anything unexpected.

That's pretty much it for the week.  Working on lots of creative projects for the holidays for us and also for gifts.  I am so excited for this Christmas.  Can't wait for December to get here!

Busy Weekend

We were busy, busy this weekend.  It seems that we always are, especially on the weekends.  Brad was off on Saturday due to the fact that he had to work Wednesday last week.

We headed west to Cinci as soon as I got home, well almost... I had to put a few things in a bag and whatnot when I got home.  Ben slept the whole way which is saying a lot considering there was a home football game and it took FOREVER to get ourselves out of Bloomington.  It was all worth it though when we picked up LaRosa's to take to Brad's parents house for dinner.  Yum.

Ben was a little sheepish and shy at first at Grandma and Grandpa's.  He gets that way in "new" situations right now.  Especially when there are a few people... April and the kids were there too.  He was a little clingy until I reminded him about the play room and showed him where the toys were.  Then it was like a lightbulb went off and he remembered being there before.  He warmed up really quick to everyone then.  He played with Grandma and the kids for a few hours, we played a game of Scattergories (one of my all time favorites) and then took off to my dad's house for the night.

Ben was so tired at this point, but was glad to see his Poppy.  We pretty much got right to sleep though, we were all tired.  Ben awoke at 5 am wanting "Poppy"  so he went to lay with him and fell back asleep until almost 9 am!  He never sleeps that long for us. The upside is that Brad and I got to sleep in until almost nine too.

We were up and about... Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast and then off to IKEA to shop for the house.  Hannah and Kat met us there and we shopped for a couple hours (it just takes THAT long to get through IKEA, and do it right) We bought some bookshelves for the living room and lots of picture frames.  I love their RIBBA frames.  They are the best...  We went to Red Robin for lunch and the said goodbye to Hannah, Kat and Poppy to head back to Brad's parents.  Ben didn't get to see his Grandpa on Saturday night so we went back to see him.  After an hour or so of play we headed back home to Bloomington.

Long, but good, weekend.  Tired this morning... up to Indy to work at Tavel today.  May be a tiring week ahead.

Calenders for 2009

For a few years now we have been giving photo calenders to a select few on our Christmas list.  This year I finally got an early start on them.  I designed the pages in Photoshop so if any of you are interested and have at least a little Photoshop knowledge I will send you the designs and you can add your own photos.  Or, if you have a little bit more Photoshop know how I will send you the templates and you can even add your own patterns and text.  Just leave me a comment with your email address and I will email a zipped file of whichever you prefer.  This type of thing may become regular on my blog as I am starting to play around more with designing my own papers, embellishments, etc.

Anyway here is the proof sheet...

Halloween

We had such fun for Halloween last night.  Brad was able to get off work early and come trick-or-treating with Ben and I.  We wend to 4 or 5 houses to give Ben a taste of the tradition.  He enjoyed it but was ready to get back to Nana's to hand out candy after a few houses.

We then went back to Nana's to help hand out candy to all her tricksters.  Ben and I carved a jack-o-lantern together.  I think it turned out pretty great.  We had lots of fun this year.
